We were proud to collaborate with Chiverton Architects, In2 Projects and the homeowner on the renovation of this single-story Victorian house situated in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Middle Park.
This renovation involved a sensitive restoration to the original front façade and a new extension to the rear. The building and design teams refurbished the original rooms complete with new flooring to tie the old with the new. Importantly, they sought to bring plenty of light into the house with clerestory windows, full-width bi-fold windows and a curated selection of our Melbourne-made lighting.
We utilised numerous versions of the Tullyspot including custom-made designs throughout the house to work within the constraints of multiple construction surfaces and substrates of the build.
As one of the driving factors of the design was to bring light into the centre of the house, the walkway uses perforated metal and gaps on either side to allow the light to permeate the house. In addition, our Opal LED strip lights and Tullyspot wall lights bring a cascade of light into this space at night.
